Welcome to GrayWorld (GW)
http://www.menasoft.com/gray

 This is a brief instruction on what to do to get started.

 The server will run locally as it is, right after install. It is set to IP# 127.0.0.1, which is a local address. And set to port 2593, which is the default port used by GW.

 In order for your UO client to find the server, you need to edit your login.cfg It is located in your UO folder. Ususally in one of two places C:\UO or C:\PROGRAM FILES\ULTIMA ONLINE (DOS name C:\PROGRA~1\ULTIMA~1 )

 Open the file using any text editor (notepad is fine), you should see something like the following:

;Loginservers for Ultima Online
;Do not edit this file or patching will fail! Always save a backup.
LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775
LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775
LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776
LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776

 You will need to place semi-colons (;) in front of the OWO lines and add this one:

LoginServer=127.0.0.1,2593

 This makes it possible for the client to find the server. The GWHOG tool or GRAYAGENT tool found at the Menasoft site can do this for you, so you don't have to edit the file each time you want to change servers.

Save and exit.

 You are now ready to try it. Dbl-clk on the GrayWorld Server icon that is on your desktop. When you see the message in the server console that says..
All Items Accounted for, Startup Complete
... you are ready to run the client

 I recommend you run the client by using CLIENT.EXE from your UO folder, not UO.EXE which runs the patch program each time.

You can login in using a predefined account from the sample account file (Grayacct.scp).
 Login: ADMIN+GM  and Password: ADMIN+GM

 From here on out it is Play and Learn. Be sure to read the documentation on how do do all the neat stuff available and how to add-to/change the account file. You will want to change all the account names because if you setup a server with outside access you don't want to still have the default accounts active for anyone to login with.

 The worldfile distributed here is an empty one, you can download a larger one from the MenaSoft site
